Great stay for a family...
Liked: The property is located in an amazing quiet location with beautiful scenery of calm fields. The facilities are very nicely renovated and have a very rich and comfortable feel to it. We've enjoyed our stay in one of the little houses and really liked it as it was very comfortable. We stayed with our toddler and were provided with a cot for him to sleep which was super convenient. The house we stayed was a short walk (3-5 minutes) from the main building/restaurant. We had a dinner one of the evenings and the restaurant has a very high standard, really enjoyed. We also used the swimming pool where we could enjoy swimming with our kid. Overall the property offers great value for money, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back again.

A true get away and...
Liked: Everything. Such a charming property. It's pet friendly, had an amazing sauna that you could book privately by the hour and an amazing on site restaurant. We felt truly disconnected and recharged. The staff was great and the property was beautiful and peaceful.
Disliked: There was nothing not to like.

Liked: Very good place to stay definitely will visit again. Especially enjoyed the complementary coffee in the main house sitting by the wood fireplace.
Disliked: Considering the quality of the location and room some USB charger points would be good.If you have mobility issues ask them for the ground floor, the stairs could be an issue.

Disliked: No USB charger points, which surprised me giving the high quality of the rest of the accommodation.It was not an issue as we had a UK adapter, but it would have been good to have

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds.
Liked: Beautiful setting, lovely facilities,the restaurant is very nice. The Lodge was comfortable and well presented. The pool is good.The staff are excellent. Surprisingly convenient for the Newcastle ferry.
Disliked: The English fox hunting photos.We would have preferred the toilet to be in the bathroom.
