There are tea and coffee facilities in the room and free Wi-Fi available across the campus. There are no televisions in the Guest Rooms. If you choose the B&B option breakfast is provided each morning at Marketplace a 2-minute walk from the accommodations The campus includes a great selection of restaurants cafes and bars. The sports center includes a gym climbing wall swimming pool sauna and squash courts at an additional cost. The Peter Scott Art Gallery and the Nuffield Theater are also located on the campus. The Lancaster University campus lies to the west of the M6 and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The city itself offers attractions including Lancaster Castle St Peter's Cathedral Lancaster City Museum Williamson Park The Grand Theater and a Vue Cinema. There is also a varied selection of restaurants and bars in the city center. There are great transport links to the city center from the university including regular busses and a taxi rank on campus. Morecambe is within 20-minute drive away which has views across the bay. Guests can visit the beach the Eric Morecambe Statue and Happy Mount Park. The accommodations is a 10-minute drive from Lancaster train station which offers easy access to Manchester Liverpool and London as well as The Lake District.

Comfy beds, great breakfast, well...

Liked: Lancaster University campus is lovely with lots of open spaces to enjoy. The rooms are really clean, and the facilities were fine for what we needed for our one night stay to visit the Uni. Breakfast offering is good with a decent choice which should satisfy most people. If you will miss watching TV, take something with you that means you can watch it such as a tablet etc as there are no TV’s in the room. The description makes this clear though.

Exceptional

Liked: You have everything around, the Uni facilities are just great, especially the Library. Open restaurants on campus even during the summer break. The breakfast was amazing! Really nice walks around and it's a short trip to the Lakes.
Disliked: Nothing, it was perfect.

Good value shame about the...

Liked: Excellent breakfast, good location.
Disliked: Clearly dated interiors, ongoing building work, lack of free parking (despite main car parks being empty most of the time), rats - we saw several outside.

Very satisfactory for one night.

Liked: Check in easy, automated. Car parking good. Breakfast good. Clean room.
Disliked: More milk. Bed was a bit hard. No TV.

Clean, quiet, good value stopover...

Liked: Convenient location en route to/from Scotland. Quiet and clean. Straightforward arrangements once you understood where everything was. Decent breakfast.
Disliked: Top floor room was hot overnight after a sunny day. Weak bedside lights.
