Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU

I stayed here for an overnight trip and was extremely satisfied with my decision. The room was quite comfortable and very clean.

Liked: Extremely comfy beds and pillows.

Liked: The location was great, we went for a concert at a nearby arena, a visit to Balboa, and Old Town SD. Check in was good, front desk clerk was very nice and made good conversation. It was a quiet area. Lots of families in the other rooms but I didn't have any issues with noise. Clean room, linens, and bathrooms. Fridge worked well. Beds were very comfortable, . A decent room if you're not looking for anything extra
Disliked: The door jammed often so it made it a pain anytime we had to get back in. When we told the desk clerk about it, it sounded like this is a common occurrence so a room change wasn't offered. Included breakfast left more to be desired. The hardboiled eggs and orange juice did not look fresh on 1 out of the 3 mornings we went.

Liked: Property is very well maintained. Pool is beautiful, with sparkling clean heated water. Bathroom was very clean with good hot water & tub drained well. AC works well and Beds are so comfortable with lots of pillows.
Disliked: Carpet, Carpet, Carpet - I hate carpet! It's older & needs replaced.

Good location and restful.

Liked: Elizabeth, the manager was so friendly and helpful. And I loved the little room with the kitchen. The breakfast was perfect nice selection.
Disliked: I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.

Liked: Clean Bathroom, Kitchen with utensils and spacious.
Disliked: Rooms are a little outdated, carpets need upgrading and maybe more choices for breakfast
