Liked: We loved the location, the quaintness of the boutique inn was so sweet and even though the front office was under construction there was someone always available to assist.
Disliked: The parking is a little tight, but still manageable. Water pressure in the room was minimal, and the a/c could use better directions.

Liked: Location was fantastic at the end of the Main Street. The interior decoration of the room was nice and modern, assuming the room was recently refurbished. The staff at the front desk of the partner Basecamp Lodge (1 kilometre away) were very friendly.Bed was very comfortable. Shower was great. Overall, reasonably quiet. Value for money was poor, however it appears that the going rate in this area for hotel accomodation is very high comparatively speaking, to other sought after areas around the world.
Disliked: There was no ‘front desk’ due to some renovations which was not made clear to us until midday of the day we were due to check in. Therefore there was no ability to leave our luggage when we arrived prior to check-in. This is an important factor for me when I consider when choosing a hotel. Also there was no obvious sign advising that the ‘front desk’ was not operational. Also no ability to leave our luggage after check out. This was very disappointing and inconvenient.Whilst the room looked cosmetically nice, there was no fan in the bathroom and the floor in the bathroom was constantly wet on the floor due to condensation. The carpet tiles in the main bedroom area always felt wet. Due to there being no front desk, we requested a late check out of 1 hour, but this was not able to be accommodated.

Liked: This is basically a motel that they upcharged like crazy on. The beds were decently comfortable and there were lots of towels for the shower and the hot tub. Location was on the edge of downtown Canmore and very accessible to the freeway. We were able to check in an hour early which was appreciated and I liked that we could text if we had any questions (there was no front desk). There was a mini fridge in the room which was helpful but no freezer.
Disliked: The room wasn't very clean. There were lots of hairs left on the bathroom floor and on the shower curtain. Also, they post that the hot tub is open until 10pm but they actually lock the doors starting at 9:45pm. The hours should reflect the true open to close times. Pretty bare bones for what you pay for - this is basically just a standard, no frills motel.

Liked: LOVE the location! We can park and just walk the town. I didn't have breakfast (was there breakfast available??)Got a nice welcome call from the employee on site - she was super friendly and welcoming. I wish you offered earlier check in as the room was ready way before I could get into it.We have stayed at Lamphouse many times over the years.
Disliked: Check in time could be more flexible.

Good place, staff non-existent

Liked: Great location, I imagine that's the main reason everyone stays here. The rooms are clean and pretty nice. I like that our room came with extra glasses, an electric kettle and drink mixer. Also an extra fan.
Disliked: The no contact check-in and non-existent staff presence makes this feel like a really impersonal stay I'm sorry to say. Which would be fine if it wasn't costing as much as it does. My room door had a gap at the bottom because the weather stripping was damaged and we ended up having to put a towel down at night to make sure bugs didn't get in. Also the TV remote didn't work at all. Not sure if batteries were dead or what? Normally you'd go down to the front desk or whatever, but I didn't feel that was even an option here, especially by the time we noticed these things.

Perfect location and check in...

Liked: The location was excellent. Right where restaurants and bars are. So convenient. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long hiking day.

Liked: The location was excellent.
Disliked: Lots of noise very thin walls and kids upstairs stomping around till 1130. It was also confusing as to the location since they have three different properties. I was not the only person who went to the wrong check in place. This needs to be made more clear especially when you google it on maps.
