We had an amazing stay...

Liked: We had amazing stay at The Lakeside. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was so special for us. The location it’s super, the view it’s beautiful, the outside setting it’s so lovely and very inviting. The staff are the best, they really look after us. Both restaurants are very nice, they have the Brasserie and the more fine dining. Breakfast was very nice too. We will definitely stay at Lakeside hotel again. Thank you

Liked: The location was right beside the lake, beautiful view and easy access to walking paths and other activities
Disliked: For the price paid, there should have been more food options. Breakfast spread could have been better with things like omelet station. There should have been more fruits which is handy when you are traveling with little ones.

Disliked: There were no room service breakfast order forms in the rooms nor were any given on check in. I asked at reception how I could order breakfast and was then given a form. The first morning breakfast arrived 15 minutes after my proposed time (between 9-9:30) without an apology. It also came without coffee or marmalade, both of which were included on my form. I then had to wait for both to be brought up which meant my toast was soggy by the time I ate it. I was also having to get ready for a wedding so could have done without the hassle to be honest. I thought I had ordered an easy breakfast - it was only cereal and toast. Then for the second day I had to ask at reception for another form which I completed on the spot and handed back to the lady. I was due to checkout at 12 the next day so ordered breakfast for 10-10:30. At 10:45 there was still no sign. I rang reception and was told my order had been misplaced?! The order turned up at 11:05. I had no fresh milk to use with my coffee but I was able to use the milk in the room. I was also compensated for the confusion with a free of charge late checkout which I was extremely happy about. Overall I would say they made up for it but I would also suggest the breakfast process is looked into as it doesn’t seem very efficient or reliable and I think if you put an order in on time then you shouldn’t have to be chasing it up or made to wait even longer for items requested on the form.
