Very welcoming hosts and breakfast...

Liked: The warm welcome, it’s not everyday the door is opened for you and there is a welcoming smile and hello. The actual property is large and very clean, our room was slightly small, but we knew that when booking, however it was fine for a couple of days. The best thing was the hosts who couldn’t do enough for you, they were very friendly and accommodating. Finally the breakfasts were the best I have ever had.
Disliked: There is only one pub/restaurant which is within easy walking distance.

Liked: We were made to feel very welcome from the start. On the second morning they went above and beyond expectations when a fault at the Water Company meant there wasn't any water but it didn't stop them making an amazing breakfast with a few adjustments!

Liked: Great location, lovely guest house, lovely room and facilities. Great breakfast lots of choice especially grateful for how well they catered for me as I am a coeliac and need a gluten free diet.Would highly recommend staying here. Tim and Karen are fantastic hosts so helpful and friendly.

Liked: Fantastic location. Karen and Tim were great hosts. We stayed in room 4 at the front of the property. it was lovely with amazing views. Possibly the largest breakfast selection I have came across. Everything was fresh and prepared to order. Highly recommended.

A home from home and...

Liked: The Lakeside Guest House was a delight, a very friendly welcome from the hosts Tim & Karen, who couldn't have done more to please. Breakfast was a delicious and so filling we skipped lunch whilst out hiking. We liked the location with it being so close to the lake and several Wainwrights on the doorstep. The room was well presented, clean and stocked with everything we needed, and the bed was comfy, which was needed after those long hikes zzzzz.

Wonderful stay

Liked: Warm and welcoming. Comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious and when weather permits having it served on the terrace was sublime. Tim and Karen were outstanding hosts and we didnt want to leave.
