The Spotlight on Lakeshore Inn

Lakefront Comfort Just Outside Portland

Modern comfort meets scenic charm at Lakeshore Inn, a relaxing waterfront hotel located in the heart of downtown Lake Oswego. Just a short drive from Portland’s top concert venues, this peaceful retreat offers cozy rooms—many with private balconies overlooking Lakewood Bay—and a laid-back vibe perfect for winding down after a night of live music. With thoughtful amenities like a lakeside heated pool, in-room microwaves and fridges, and free Wi-Fi, it’s an ideal base for music lovers who want both convenience and calm.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you’re seeing a show in Portland but want to avoid the hustle (and parking stress), Lakeshore Inn is a solid pick. Downtown Portland is only a 20-minute drive away—close enough for rideshares or an easy Lyft after the encore. Back at the hotel, rooms are quiet and comfy, giving you space to recover from the high-energy crowd. With flexible check-in at 4:00 PM and a chill atmosphere, it’s great for concert-goers arriving late or sleeping in.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends will love the lakeside views and spacious rooms with seating areas for post-show hangouts.
Solo travelers catching a bucket-list act will appreciate the safe, walkable downtown location.
Couples can make a weekend of it with a romantic lakefront balcony.
Fans needing quiet after a loud night out will find the peaceful setting a perfect balance.
Budget-conscious fans can save by staying just outside the city while still being close to the action.

Food and Drink Options

Start your post-concert morning right with gourmet coffee and pastries served daily in the lobby. While the hotel doesn’t have a full restaurant, you're just steps from Lake Oswego’s walkable downtown, packed with casual eateries, coffee shops, and late-night bites. Rooms also come with microwaves, fridges, and coffee makers—perfect for midnight snacks or next-day leftovers.

Nightlife Options

While there’s no on-site bar, you’re within walking distance of local wine bars, breweries, and cozy lounges in Lake Oswego. If you’re up for more action, Portland’s nightlife scene is just a short drive or ride away, making Lakeshore Inn a great place to crash after a night on the town.

What People Say

Guests rave about the beautiful lake views, friendly staff, and the hotel’s clean, comfortable rooms. Many mention how quiet and peaceful the location is—especially after a busy night in the city. The free Wi-Fi and easy parking are also big pluses for travelers who want a hassle-free stay.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests have noted the hotel’s décor feels a bit dated in places, and there's no elevator, so you may want to request a lower floor if stairs are an issue. There’s also no full-service restaurant or bar on-site—but with so many options nearby, it’s a minor trade-off.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want to enjoy the show and then unwind in a peaceful lakeside setting, Lakeshore Inn strikes the perfect balance between proximity and tranquility.

Wanted to try it because...

Liked: The location can’t be beat! Truly lakeshore and walking distance to everything.
Disliked: It’s a tired building. Extremely creaky floors, I was woken up every night by people simply walking upstairs from me. Not enough parking. Had to park 2 blocks away.

Great location. Very outdated facility...

Liked: location was great. Facility needs updates and modernization. Bigger bed requested. Pull out couch very uncomfortable. Small kitchenette but no plates or silverware. This should be at a minimum. Deck furniture could be much nicer and comfortable to enjoy the beautiful lake and view. Staff was very nice and breakfast bar was also ample with great muffins from a great bakery, but just continental. Nothing hot. No yogurt or milk.
Disliked: listed aboveAlso parking is very tight, elevator very old and very small

Liked: The staff was wonderful - very helpful. The view is fantastic and the location near shopping and restaurants is very convenient. There is a great walking path nearby. The hotel is very basic and probably needs an upgrade but it met our needs and was pretty affordable.
Disliked: The streaming services on the TV did not work and the WiFi was very weak.
