Lake View Lodge

Underwhelming.

Liked: Location to Yosemite entrance gate was good. Nice cold refrigerator. Lots of TV channels. Good Wi-fi. Four pillows. Black out curtains.
Disliked: Noisy room. #18Old looking blanket, not very thick.No body wash in the shower.Minimal bath amenities ( only two tiny hand soaps).Shower pan wasn’t high enough and the shower curtain could not block the water flow. Very wet floor whenever we showered.Old toilet, very lowLamps were old and rickety and had no USB ports for charging. No USB port availability anywhere in the room. There was an animal ( mouse )gnawing away in the wall for several hours during the night. Very noisy, scratching and flipping around.

It is an easy place...

Liked: The room was clean but it was “bare bones” - just a bed. Location easy to get to.
Disliked: Bed was lumpy, bumpy and since I paid for “just a bed” it should have been a nice one. No place to put luggage, clothes or wet towels. Only plugs were behind night stands. The restaurant wasn’t open either day I was there.

Liked: The room was very clean. The staff were friendly and efficient during checkin
Disliked: The electrical outlets are so old that cords fall out. We were unable to charge phones. The shower had mold in the grout. Shower drain was slow. Had to shower standing in water. When showering, most of the water came out the bathtub spout rather than the shower head. Very old fixtures that barely work

Liked: Excellent location, large room, comfortable beds, free parking, self laundry.
Disliked: Outdated facilities, some need maintenance, price quite high for such a place.

Clean, comfortable room

Liked: Lovely garden setting outdoors. Appreciated the cotton sheets as many hotels are now using cheap microfiber.
Disliked: A bedside lamp did not work.

Better than nothing but WAY...

Liked: Location was great—near Yosemite entrance road. The room was fairly clean, but when was that bedspread washed last? Parked right in front of the cabin.
Disliked: Plumbing was poor. Toilet clogged. Formica behind bathroom sink was coming off and warped. Bed was uncomfortable; new mattress needed. Linens were old and not white. Pillows were gross. Coffee pot was old and did not pour correctly.
