Liked: The Laguna Lodge is a hidden gem! Surrounded by lovely gardens and in an excellent location - close to major hwy and amenities like grocery stores, gas stations, major banks, Starbucks and various popular eateries are a 5 min walk away! Less than a 5 min drive are more amenities and despite being relatively close to the hwy, it’s a very quiet location. Laguna Beach is about 15 min away and the Laguna Civic Center is right next door. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming! A shout out to Sergio and Morgan at the front desk who were especially helpful. Sergio: she won her race! Morgan: the peppermint oil recommendation was on point! The manager was flexible with our check out change request which was greatly appreciated! The rooms were clean and well taken care of. Some rooms even have a quaint balcony! There’s a heated pool, hot tub and dry sauna available for use and they provided the towels.
Disliked: There isn’t anything I didn’t like. The breakfast could be improved but was fresh and well stocked.

Liked: Vegetation on the grounds is lush and beautiful.Liked the wide blinds instead of curtains.
Disliked: Hardly any sound-blocking in the rooms. The occupant on one side had a hacking cough that was heard constantly. The upstairs was occupied with what sounded like elephants jumping around.Housekeeping apparently didn't vacuum very well as I found a dirty pair of socks and other dirt between one of the beds and the wall.
