Disappointing on all levels

Liked: very well located hotel in the heart of laguna beach
Disliked: The rooms are ok and pretty well appointed but the bathrooms are very dated and in desperate need of an upgrade. We paid more for a balcony with a sea view- in truth the balcony overlooked houses and was very small. It was noisy as our room was on corner overlooking main road.During our stay we unfortunately had nearly £1000 dollars of shopping stolen from the trunk of the car. We are pretty convinced it occurred whilst in the hotel car park. We reported it to the hotel Manager who told us the security company were reviewing the footage and they would email me. Despite having chased numerous times I have had no answers which I find particularly poor service and very unusual for the US. It has left a very bad taste - the lack of effort to solve this.Moreover, we were charged $25 dollars a night for the privelege of parking in the hotel car park, which shocked me
