Lafayette Hotel Marietta

This was our first time at the Lafayette Hotel. Everything was great. Will stay again.

Liked: The nostalgia of the hotel was great.
Disliked: None.

Loved the hotel and location. Would stay there again if I could get a larger room.

Liked: Beautiful woodwork in the room. Very professional and friendly staff. Loved the history of the hotel.
Disliked: Room was very small and smoke alarm would go off every time I took a shower.

Disliked: Not a lot of parking available when they host a big event such as they did when we stayed, a wedding. But other than that the hotel overall is great!

Disliked: Had to change rooms. Loved the river room in first room but was not informed was an adjoining room and couple next door spoke very loud. So we changed rooms and the 2nd didn’t have what the first did, lacked a chair by the window and first room was a better view. Wasn’t offered assistance with changing rooms which would have been helpful. If had been informed adjoining room would have requested before hand diff room. Not offered discount for inconvenience. Have been to property many times over years and do love it. Front desk personnel is very nice each time we stay. Had our pet so we were able to eat at a table by piano and lounge staff very attentive, food was great. Also breakfast ate at a Starbucks table and the staff there wonderful.

Liked: The location was the best: directly on the Ohio River, on the main street. It's an authentic old hotel. The furniture in my room seemed antique & solid. I walked everywhere in this lovely old town.
Disliked: I didn't mind it, but some visitors might find it a bit worn. It's not a glamorous, fancy place. It's a working old hotel in a charming small old city.

Liked: Location a gem ! Dining good. Nostalgic place cool.
Disliked: Room too small ( for price addaquit) needs all new paint wallpaper tv upgrade Microfridge very much appreciated.

Awesome

Liked: Vintage furniture, wonderful restaurant, close to concert venue and my son, the keyboardist playing for Diamond Rio played the piano in the foyer.
Disliked: Rooms are small but we didn’t mind since we had such a great view of the river!!

Beautiful historical hotel, very accommodating...

Liked: I love history and historical things and this place had all of that and it was beautiful. Great views right on the river.Location was amazing, walking distance to great shops and restaurants.
