La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview, Charleston

My overall stay was very good. I was a little nervous about staying in a room with an outside door. Hotel was unable to accommodate me otherwise. I was the last room facing the highway. With that in mind, getting back later from the theatre my key card would sporadically not function. Luckily it did work that night. Good visit; breakfast satisfactory.

Liked: Room was very comfortable.
Disliked: Key was not working.

Excellent stay; nice location; very helpful staff. Came down for the Charleston Marathon.

Initial room was unclean. Dirty; urine on commode; dusty. Dogs barking incessantly. Front desk clerk was less than excited to help us out, although eventually she did give us another room. That room reaked of cigarettes but was the only room left for the night. It too was dusty and dirty but at least there no urine on the commode.

Liked: Location.

Recommended

Liked: Great location, clean facility, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast!
Disliked: Plumbing was a little noisy at times but otherwise if was great.

Liked: It was quiet and clean
Disliked: The bathrooms were so old, the tub was cracking everywhere, I didn’t want to take a shower in it. Definitely not a bath.They really need to renovate the property

Disliked: Communication with refund because of a family emergency

Liked: The location worked for what we needed. The staff seemed crabbu. The first lady at checkout out seemed like she only wanted to be on her phone and we were interrupting her. Room was good.

Disliked: Bed squeaked lamp shades were soiled, bathroom cabinet had been chewed on by probably a pet, and never replaced, bath wall had spackled but not finished

Disliked: Very dirty.everywhere. bathroom, floors, rug, dresser drawers, all handles, counter and table. Look like it was never cleaned from last guests. Could not get enough towels for two people without a problem No tissues Barely enough toilet paper

Adequate but not worth price...

Disliked: Hotel needs an upgrade bathrooms show rust and cleanliness not a priority. Outside breezeway of rooms was not clean at all.

Liked: Excellent value for money given the prices in Charleston. Nice location on the river and just a short drive into downtown (you cannot walk over the bridge). Staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: Our first room in the outside building was so noisy we barely slept for the first night, but the staff kindly moved us into the main building for our second night which was much better. There was no bath plug and the WiFi was unsecured.
