La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sunrise

We had a pleasant stay at La Quinta.

Liked: Hotel seems updated in a nice modern style. I like the laminate floors in bath and sink areas.
Disliked: Some parts of the property have not been updated. There were torn cushions on several pieces of furniture.

Great place to stay when...

Liked: Front end attendant was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the air conditioning was very cold.

Disliked: Not very clean - bathroom was in need of a new bathtub - it was a first floor room - lamps, and other items in the room literally had rust on them - the furniture was scratched as if from a cat clawing the two chairs - the desk chair was dirty - enough so that you wouldn’t want to sit on it - very disappointing overall - we had to stay there due to renovations at our home - the location was close to our house and it’s located very close to a corporate business park - I assumed it would be a good choice due to corporations needing close by accommodations - another thing - we were there 2 hours before check in- there was absolutely no one in the parking lot which lead me to believe there were many rooms available, yet I was told there would be a $20 per hour charged for every hour before check in time - all this was very disappointing - and as we were leaving our room, we saw a very large roach on the wall - :(
