Disliked: Arrived to the hotel after receiving my confirmation number and pin for check in. Staff informed us there was NO RESERVATION with my name. I offered to show the confirmation and they didn’t even bother looking. Turned us away. We had to drive around and find (and pay!!) for another hotel with our infant daughter. Booking.com is refusing a refund claiming WE CANCELLED THE RESERVATION. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL OR BOOKING.COM! HUGE SCAM. Also claims to be near a beach which staff told us is a lie.

Liked: Clean, nicely decorated even the pet friendly rooms, coffee and water all evening. Front desk very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Dog walking areas small and messy. Property floods in heavy rain mainly the parking lot entrance area.

Liked: It was close to the venue I came to Sarasota to visit
Disliked: The carpet was so dirty in my room I would not take my shoes off. The headboard had a very large tear in it. My room door would not shut completely. The couch was such that I wouldn’t sit on it much less pull it out to sleep on. There was a huge puddle on the carpet. The counter was disgustingly dirty. The other areas of the hotel were similarly gross. Requested a late checkout at a $40 cost and they denied the request. Never in my 68 years have I had to pay for late checkout. Been denied yes, but asked to pay for it no.

Disliked: Untrained front desk who himself cancelled my reservationI didn't even get it as they forget to eductae their front desk about the legality of question on service animals, and their front desk is not only front desk but medic and judge in one who can decide against eleven pages of documentation (which is illegal in itself to demand in Florida) that the dog is only an emotional support animal, as he knows better that any medic who issued the documents, I am happy that a hotel could afford a so highly educated man with multiple Master's. In short: avoid the place at all costs: the walls, furniture, amenities doesn't count but the personnel, and if those are rotten , all rotten.
