Liked: Pool was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine.
Disliked: The bathroom in our room needs lots of maintenance. Faucets separating from the wall, exposed pipes, ceiling and seals need replacing.

Disliked: The air conditioner left a bad smell like mildew. I don't think the unit was draining

Disliked: The first room the door didn't lock look like somebody had kicked it in they moved me to another room that you could tell somebody put holes in the wall and they did a somewhat poor job of patching it

Disliked: Usually, i don't have issues with LaQuinta, but this was awful. We got in, dropped our things off, and left immediately to explore downtown San Antonio. We got back around 7 PM and that's when we finally took a good look.The room was dirty. The bench and desk were so wobbly we were afraid to use them. The office chair was stained. Behind the office chair there was gunk in the corner on the floor.The bathroom had a panel off of the wall exposing the inside of the plumbing. The door was being held on by only 2 loose screws and we had to push the door into the jam to get it to close. There was mold around the tub calk, and a large gap between the faucet and the wall. The ring for the shower head was dangling and not covering the exposed hole. There were uncaulked gaps with what looked like mold in the shower wall, and the floor caulk around the tub was gross. There is staining on the ceiling and wall as if the unit above had flooded and the paint they used to cover it up wasn't enough to hide whatever had seeped through. We didn't end up using the shower at all, we were so put off.The pool water was green, so we were glad we decided against swimming.We were exhausted and I don't like making a fuss, so we hunkered down. There were odd noises through the night that I couldn't place. But the cherry on top was the huge cockroach I found when I woke up. It was on the bathroom floor, and though it looked dead, it was very much alive.My 16yo son went to get breakfast and wouldn't eat anything. He said there were a lot of flies on everything.We had intended to stay until check out, but we had enough and checked out early. When I went to the desk I told the clerk it was an awful stay, we weren't happy, and they could find their cockroach in a cup in the bathroom. He said nothing. Didn't even apologize, just checked us out and sent us on our way.

Liked: Location is close to Walmart, laundromat, convenience store and right off I-10. Nice comfortable room.
Disliked: Shady area but I felt safe. No laundry facilities on site but right up the road is everything you need. Breakfast has no meat options but the waffles looked very good and muffins
