La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Downtown

I booked this hotel because we bought tickets to a concert and saw it had the best reviews but I had the worst experience. Well, when we checked in there were two ladies checking me in at the same time which was weird. I thought it should've just been one person. Well we got to our room and we were getting ready to go to the concert and I had my boyfriend and my daughter stay there in the room while we went to the concert. I got a call from my boyfriend saying the they were going to call the cops cause they didn't know who he was so I had to leave the concert just so I could figure out what was going on. What made me even more mad is that I got the call as soon as the concert was about to start. Well I got to the hotel and came to find out that they gave me someone else's room. I literally spent so much money on the concert tickets just so I couldn't go see them. They literally made my boyfriend wake up my daughter because of their mistake and this literally happened at around 11p.m. They didn't even offer us a discount or our money back for a least one room because I had booked two rooms. This was the worst experience. Why get the cops involved when it was their mistake. They should next time have one person checking people in instead of two because that's how this mistake happened. Will never book a room here ever again and don't recommend for anyone else too.

Good value in a great...

Liked: Great central location with easy walking to the river walk, Alamo and other attractions. Right next door to a HEB market which has great meal options. Room was huge so plenty of space for luggage etc. Staff were friendly and it was good having 24 hour access to tea and coffee. Breakfast was good and onsite parking easy and convenient and the price was good.
Disliked: Airconditioner was very loud and lifts were slow.

Liked: We really didn't like any about this hotel and regret our choice in choosing it.
Disliked: The elevator was very, very, very extremely slow, and small. The carpets in the hotel, they all smelled really bad, the hotel attempted to hide that with deodorizer. That was also a problem bc it was too strong, caused headaches and allergies problems. The room wasn't very clean. I had to clean it myself. There was a large crack in molding above our bed. There was a large crack in the shower floor. There is mold growing in the sink under the edge, in the toliet, under the lip. Water pressure sucked for sink, toliet, shower, tub. Tub took forever to fill. The tub faucets were linking all day. The carpet in our room was wet, sticky, and smelled. The room smelled. The AC was either too hot or too cold. The refrigerator froze everything on all the shelves, lost about $50 in food. It frozen our water, sodas, Gatorades, teas, yogurt, fruit, vegetables, everything. The couches/chairs need replacing, they were dirty, lumpy, and uncomfortable. Windows were dirty. They were bugs. We found them on the carpet, in our drawers. The breakfast was extremely boring. It was the same food... all microwavable, not fresh. And they consistently ran out of food. All items multiple times a day, including the coffees and condiments. We were always waiting on a item which took some time, that our other food got cold. Location was not good, too far from downtown, no shuttle. Parking was also a problem, always full. So much that people parked in the drop off zone. Not enough luggage racks. The pool is too small for that size hotel and was freezing, pool towels r very thin and way too small. Not hot tub. The wifi kept stopping. We would never stay here again.
