La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio by AT&T Center

We had a great stay at this La Quinta! The staff was amazing and the front desk guy was so helpful and always cheerful. The breakfast could have been a little better but overall it was very enjoyable. Bed was comfortable. I feel like prices were fair. The maids were also very helpful and provided us with new towels and things when asked. You do have to ask them to clean your room but they will when asked. Overall this was a great stay. Location is convenient if you are attending something at Frost Bank Center although not safe to walk along the highway so you would still have to drive or uber.

Liked: Clean and pleasant looking.
Disliked: Room 316 smelt like it was used for livestock and then tried to clean and remove the smell, it was beyond awful. I went in and turned around and left because the smell was so bad.Room 326 had a plugged toilet. When I reported it to the night manager, he wanted to give me a plunger to fix it myself. Three stars for making me laugh. I'm not the LaQuinta maintenance guy. We had to use the public restrooms on the first floor all night. The cleaning staff needs to learn the meaning of the "do not disturb" sign. Check out time is 11am not 9. I could have gotten out of their hotel sooner if I didn't have to navigate cleaning carts and the trash can collecting water leaking out of the ceiling. The cleaning staff shouldn't start cleaning rooms till 11am if they can't respect the 11am check out time.
