La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rancho Cordova Sacramento

Overall for it's price and rating, it was what we were expecting. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Those are key points.

Liked: Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Fridge and microwave!
Disliked: Traffic noise was really bad as well as the HVAC unit continually woke us up but needed it for comfort.

Pleasant check in staff.

Liked: The room is comfy in general. Breakfast is good.
Disliked: The hotel room smells like a smoking room, even if we request a non-smoking room (we saw other guesses complainted for the same reason).Internet down during our stay. The hotel personnel did not provide any reason.

Liked: I have been to EVERY hotel and MOTEL in Rancho Cordova since 2020 and for the first time in years, (while in Sacramento), I have not experienced racism, prejudice, or bias whatsoever. That in itself made me feel super safe!. I've never been to this hotel but I'm so thankful that my friend recommended it to me! The staff were AMAZING, all of them so kind, sweet, friendly, & considerate. There was a kind and considerate young man (on July 30th) who checked me in at night and kind housekeeping ladies and the kind lady at the front desk, during the day of July 31st. Omg I could cry right now while typing this. This La Quinta is by far, the CLEANEST and most comfortable & convenient hotel !!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! so so so so much for such a pleasant stay. *tears of joy...seriously.
Disliked: There was too much to enjoy to type any downside to my stay, thanks again.

Gross, difficult for pets and...

Liked: The staff was pleasant and made changes for us quickly. The reception area looked clean, the hotel however was at the back of a shopping center parking lot that backed up to the freeway and off ramp.The room we originally were given REEKED of dog urine and had wet carpet!!! The only other king with a couch was on the second floor. Our dogs first elevator ride. Very unexpected. We had requested first floor in our reservation. The second room was surface clean, but needed a deep clean and a paint job. This room was barely acceptable. This place is NOT dog friendly. Virtually nowhere to potty the dogs. No trash cans or doggie bags, as opposed to the LaQuinta the previous night that was on a busy road but the landscaping buffered the road. Plenty of dog friendly spots with trash cans. This place gives LaQuinta a bad name. Yuck.
Disliked: Everything except the staff.

Liked: Clean, conveniently located.
Disliked: No one at reception when we arrived and we waited about 10 or 15 minutes to check in. Breakfast was fairly limited. If you don't eat gluten, you only have oatmeal packets.
