We regretted staying here with...
Liked: Pretty close to the beach. The Indian gentleman at the front desk was very professional and helpful at our later than usual check-in and followed through with his requests (a man of his word), but his help was trying to bail on him and leave as soon as he arrived. His help was unprofessional in appearance and speech and when he arrived said, "Oh you're here, I gotta go, I have a health issue I have to go the emergency room, aka, I'm calling out need to go to the club" is the impression I got. Some kind of unprofessional thing I didn't need to hear. He, however, was suprisingly a cut above, and just needs to fire a lot of the staff there and stop with the poor hiring standards and/or don't count on unprofessional, lazy people.
Disliked: The lazy dining room attendants for breakfast stand around and do not wipe tables. The outdoor pool is super small and uninviting (likely why no pictures of it, didn't touch it). The worthless breakfast staff (not all) will stand there talking with multiple dirty tables everywhere for 30 plus minutes; very poorly trained or ignoring their duties because of weak mgmt that shift who are more concerned to come in and get their bagel or whatever than run an establishment with any pride. Any restaurant who is not terrible at their job knows that a dirty table should not be dirty more than 2 minutes, much of their staff is pathetic and should be terminated. (At least when the somewhat older Hispanic lady is attending breakfast she is terrible). The hotel is pretty ratchet overall. Our room on the third floor did not have enough wall outlets, floor remodel with LVP was not good, beds were lumpy and not level. Coffee maker has to be plugged in at bathroom counter, one mattress was stained. This place could be average with higher standards, but they seem to be having a hard time finding trustworthy staff. This is like the bottom of the barrel hotel I would get working in construction out of town and you can tell by some of the other guests who are pretty sketchy. The owners need to be here all of the time for a long while, and put zero trust in this staff from what I observed. I feel like I wasted money here and will likely never come back. I would rather spend a little more with a well-run establishment before I take my family to this place again.
