Comfortable and close to everything

Liked: The rooms were large and comfortable. The location was excellent and in walking distance of major attractions.
Disliked: The breakfast was poor and not well maintained, with no forks, juice etc. Things weren’t topped up.

This La Quinta Inn is...

Liked: Location was great. Really liked the room layout. Cleanliness was good. Within walking distance of French Quarter, waterfront and museums. (I would especially recommend the WWII museum nearby). Area felt daylight safe for walking about.
Disliked: Reception desk was sparsely manned. Except for lobby area, interior of building was unpleasantly cool (haven’t ever encountered this before in the South - usually the opposite). Plumbing - water pressure low at sink; toilet would barely flush; stuck flow diverter in tub. Sterile is kindest descriptor for breakfast area; the pile of over fried eggs and grey mass of sausage patties quickly eliminated any desire to breakfast there. The coffee was fine. Suggest having a coffee station and eliminate the pitiful food offerings and the bus station ambience eating area. A more detailed description and pricing of available parking is necessary - i.e. there is no drive up luggage drop off. Self park and pay in abundant adjacent parking garages. Valet parking not an option.

Check-in was very confusing because...

Disliked: I booked a room for $302 for my entire day and when I got to the hotel, my bill was $617 big difference
