La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Haven

Disliked: Someone tried to get into our room during the night. If we didn't have the security bar across the door, they would've been able to because they had a key. When my husband brought it up to the front desk, they said "Sorry. That was our manager checking the rooms." What?! Insane. Awful experience.

Our worst hotel experience ever.

Disliked: The continuous and ultra strong noises from the street (motos, car, "dragster" like accelerations, combined with heavy bass sound systems) prevented us from sleeping all along the night. It's apparently an unsolved problem since several years in the Long Wharf area. A hotel shouldn't even exist in such a location.

Liked: Close to the airport and downtown area - clean, comfortable beds and good rate.
Disliked: Nothing much, just a normal stay - nothing wow, or bad.

Disliked: I was extremely disappointed with my stay. I booked one type of room but was given something entirely different — the worst room, nothing like what was promised, and certainly not worth the price I paid. On top of that, I was not told the hotel was under construction, which made the experience even worse. I felt misled and deceived, as what I was sold was not what I received. I would not recommend this property to anyone until they are transparent with guests and deliver what is actually advertised.

Liked: Not much. It was bad all around.
Disliked: Internet didn't work. TV didn't have signal. You could hear the highway all night so no sleep. Beds were small. They were renovating and didn't say anything until the day of so we couldn't cancel. The elevator stopped working and we were on the 7th floor. For breakfast the drinks were frozen.
