If I’m ever in town...

Liked: The breakfast was great with a lot of options, coffee was always fresh! The rooms were clean and beds were comfy! The staff was great! Maurice, Ten, Matt were all awesome and very helpful with anything asked!
Disliked: The swimming pool was dirty and smelled of mildew

La Quita, Lawton

Liked: The staff was friendly. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Continental breakfast was fairly good. Online check-in and check-out were easy and swift.
Disliked: The AC was very loud and made all sorts of odd noises. This made going to sleep difficult. The bathroom looked like it was cleaned at. In the bathroom, there was trash on the floor and in the tub. The back side of the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, including dust buildup. The sink counter had quite a bit of someone's hair all over it.The 4th floor smelled of cigarettes off and on. The hotel smelled of animals. We had to buy room freshener to be able to stand it. I suppose if you have animals in your home, you could become nose blind to it, but to a non pet owner, it was profound. The swimming pool was small, and it looks like it needs to be updated. The TV was practically unusable. The volume was either very quiet or extremely loud. This was beyond remote control capability. We tried watching 3 different movies on different channels, but it kept freezing up and eventually restarting the movie repeatedly. In the room, the microwave was the old dial type, and the fridge was slightly cool.The coffee served during breakfast was very weak. It was very light tan in color. I realize most of these complaints cost the hotel money to improve. However, room cleanliness, AC repair, and foul odors do need attention. I've seen much worse.I would compare it to Motel 6 from 15 years ago. The location wasn't bad as far as the attractions we came to see, Mt. Scott, Medicine Park, and Holy City.
