La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kingsport Tricities Airport

Service was great. Clean and neat and very well kept facility. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. These folks should be proud of their staff and their facility.

Disliked: The pillows, the bed,ice machine did not work. small area for 2 queen beds. Breakfast was terrible, cold eggs cold sausage. No fruit. They did have black banana's. We use to like laquinta hotels but we will not be going back.

Liked: The breakfast was fine the location was good
Disliked: We had to switch rooms three times the first time it smelled like cat pee the second time we had a leak in our above our tub in the bathroom and then we had to move again and then I was two floors away from my father who was 91 years old and wasn't very happy with that and I was totally overcharged when I was quoted and had a confirmation number and haven't got my money back yet but they have taken all the money out for the original charge. I was charged probably $500 over what was stated when I got there she didn't even look at my numbers she didn't look at my phone she didn't look at my confirmation number she didn't look at how much it was going to cost and I didn't look at it until I got back to my room and then I went down and talked to her about it and she said it would be on the refund would be on my credit card and it hasn't arrived yet.

A bit disappointing ~

Liked: The location was perfect for a quick trip to the airport in the morning. I was grateful that the desk clerk was available and willing to provide shuttle service at 3:30 AM.
Disliked: The amenities were probably the worst I've encountered at any hotel I've stayed in recently. The snack room shelves were nearly depleted; the ice machine on the 1st floor was broken; the TV in my room kept cutting out (the maintenance guy was very nice & thought he'd fixed it, but it went out shortly after he'd left); there was a yapping dog down the hall that kept waking me up so I had to drag myself out of bed (my room phone didn't work!) to ask the desk staff to please assist with getting the dog quieted; and when I first checked in and asked where I might find hot water for making tea (I brought all the rest with me -- just needed the hot water), the manager told me to use my microwave. Every other hotel I've stayed in this week has had a hot water spigot available 24/7 for guests. I was really disappoined overall with the poor quality of this hotel.

Worked in a pinch but...

Disliked: The furniture was very old and in bad shape. Outlet by bed only had half a cover. Curtains were damaged.

Can not vape or smoke...

Liked: I feel that it’s stupid to have a balcony if you can’t even as much as vape. The only reason I chose this room. Just to find out it’s $100 every time they see you out smoking on the balcony. will not be staying again.
