Good

More rough than diamond

Liked: Staff was friendly enough. The beds were comfortable and had clean sheets, and the A/C worked well.
Disliked: Bathroom had clear water damage, obvious patched holes in the wall, and mold growing on the drywall. Everything in the hotel was old and dingy.

It was just a place...

Liked: The location was good. The mexican restaurant in front of the hotel was very good and a 2 min. walk from the hotel.
Disliked: The breakfast food area was very small. There was no Decaf caraf. The food was o.k., but couldn't have used a couple of selections of meat. The mattress in the 1st room was bad, sinking to the frame on the side. We requested another room right after we got the room. The young lady at the counter did accomodate our request. The 2nd room's mattress was better. It is just an old hotel and the bathrooms need upgraded.

Liked: I didn’t like nothing about this hotel it. It was very dirty and smell bad. The 3rd shift staff was very nice
Disliked: Given a dirty room. The front desk staff upon my arrival was slow at check in and not friendly.

Bad

Liked: One of the front desk girls was pleasant, and helpful.
Disliked: We got into town late on June 28th. When I walked in, there was a young woman at the desk not wearing a uniform, but was wearing a spaghetti strap tank top, and intensely concentrating on the computer screen in front of her. She acknowledged me by saying "just a minute". I stood there in front of her for about 3 minutes while she looked at the computer and dug through paperwork for rooms. I took this time to observe her, and noticed she was sweating, and her movements were not normal as she rummaged through the paperwork. She would pick each paper up, hold it directly in front of her face and turn it sideways a couple times before she would move onto the next paper. This odd behavior looked to me like she was on some type of upper drug, likely meth.Not a good 1st impression.Another employee came to the desk to give her assistance since I was standing there. She gave some info, advising the paper the lady was looking at was from the day before. She asked me if I had been checked in yet, and I said no. She seemed surprised I hadn't been helped yet, so she took care of my check in. She was very kind and presented herself well. I am glad she was there.We got in late, I think we got the very last room available, and when we walked into our room it seemed fine. After a while, I noticed there was a dripping noise. I followed the sound and found a large puddle of water on the floor between the two windows. There is some water damage on the ceiling. I assume that is where it was coming from. I alerted the front desk, and there were no rooms available to move to, so I got extra towels to cover the puddle with.The mattresses were uncomfortable and worn out, there was no soap at the sink to wash hands with. I did like that they have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower, but I had to go to the bathtub (which is in a different room than the sink) to get soap to wash my hands with.

I would stay again

Liked: Very comfortable, large and clean room.
Disliked: Very noisy because of people talking in the hallways late at night and early in the morning.
