La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Durham Chapel Hill, Durham

We came into the hotel and we were greeted and upon entering they asked our name and immediately looked up the reservation and welcomed us again. The lobby was clean and there were people watching TV. She explained where our room was and was kind enough to tell us we could drive around to park and the elevator would be real close when we opened the door and then our room would be close once the elevator opened - great. The elevator was a bit vegas style - kinda gold brushed but OK. We laughed at it.

Liked: The front people and the directions that were given, plus breakfast.
Disliked: No it was wonderful.

Liked: Friendly staff and how clean they keep the property.
Disliked: Only complaint I would have that isn't the fault of the hotel, is the late night noise from other guests. Slamming doors and being loud in the hallways.

Liked: I like the location of the property. The property was very well kept it is 100% non-smoking property.
Disliked: That the property was 100% non-smoking we had to go in our vehicle to smoke or ride down the street to smoke because there is no smoking on the property although they do have a area that looks like it could be a smoking area but we didn’t test it out to see because we didn’t want any trouble

Liked: Everything looked clean and well maintained. Definitely a nice place to return to im any future trips to this area.
Disliked: There was nothing I disliked. Had a very pleasant stay.

Liked: It’s tough to complain about a room for $125 these days, but I would say: Room smelled of weed Air conditioner very loud Traffic was loud (ask for a room opposite main road) I didn’t complain about any of this so it’s possible the issues were unknown. I was only staying for one night. The staff was very nice - every single person. The breakfast was great. There is nothing within walking distance of hotel so would need to drive for coffee, food, etc. It took about 15 mins to and from UNC mid-campus in an uber.
