Comfy value alternative to downtown...

Liked: La Quinta near the airport in Detroit is a great value compared to the downtown locations that cost twice as much. The front desk staff and housekeeping were very friendly, the building is basic, but parking is easy and I was even able to jog to a public park not a mile away. The room was clean and comfy and insulated from other noises. I have a pet peeve for room doors that slam at hotels if you don't close them gently, but this was not an issue here. Also, there are a few eating choices within walking distance, including coincidentally a Taco Bell where AI took my order and it was the fastest drive through fast food experience of my life.
Disliked: For what I paid and the location, I don't have any complaints or suggestions for improvement.

Exceptional Hotel & Staff

Liked: Staff is exceptionally nice, greeted us warmly. They are very professional & always respectful. We stay every year at this place, & honestly, look forward to our return trips!
Disliked: Nothing negative about this place!
