Comfortable Convenience Near Denver’s Top Concert Venues

Modern and affordable, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Denver Southwest Lakewood offers a no-fuss stay just outside downtown Denver. Located in Lakewood, this pet-friendly hotel puts you within easy reach of iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater, Mile High Stadium, and Coors Field—all under 15 miles away. With free Wi-Fi, a tasty continental breakfast, and a seasonal outdoor pool, it’s a solid home base for fans catching a show or two.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re less than a 20-minute drive from Red Rocks Amphitheater, one of the most legendary outdoor music venues in the country. Prefer staying close but not in the thick of downtown noise? This Lakewood location offers a quieter post-show retreat while still being easy to access via rideshare or car. Flexible check-in at 3:00 p.m. gives you time to settle in before the show, and free parking makes it hassle-free for road-trippers.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends heading to a weekend concert
Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list show
Couples making a getaway out of it
Fans who prefer a quiet recovery after the encore
Budget-conscious music lovers looking for solid value

Food and Drink Options

Start your day—or recover from a late night—with the free continental breakfast, complete with fresh waffles. While there’s no on-site restaurant or bar, you’re close to several casual dining spots and fast food options. For those late-night cravings, nearby eateries and delivery apps come in clutch. Coffee-making facilities in your room are a bonus when you're heading out early.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more chill than party-centric, it’s a quick trip to downtown Denver’s vibrant nightlife. Whether you’re looking for a craft cocktail, a local brew, or a post-show bite, plenty of bars, lounges, and late-night spots are within a short drive or rideshare. Red Rocks fans will appreciate the proximity to Morrison’s cozy taverns and music bars.

What People Say

Guests love the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and the friendly staff. Many mention the hotel’s convenient location for Red Rocks concerts and appreciate the free parking. The value for money is a top highlight, especially for those wanting a simple, clean place to crash after a night of music.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the decor is a bit dated, and the hotel can feel basic compared to trendier downtown spots. The seasonal pool isn’t open year-round, and there’s no on-site bar—so plan ahead for post-concert drinks.

The Bottom Line

A solid, affordable choice for music fans who want a quiet, convenient stay near Denver’s top concert venues without breaking the bank.

Friendly greeting at check in. Also very helpful getting a shuttle to our concert. Room was spacious and very clean. Follow up phone call to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was adequate.

Would avoid staying there again

Liked: Beds were comfortable but bedding had stains. Friendly staff member at breakfast.
Disliked: Could not sleep the first night due to neighbors sketchy behaviors and noise in the middle of the night. Hotel hallways and elevator had odor of marijuana/ cigarettes majority of the time. Hotel room could use an update and probably new doors as we had to make sure it latched behind us. Definitely a place to stay on a budget but still felt overpriced for what we got.

We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere...

Liked: The breakfast provided was satisfactory, featuring a commendable variety of options—additionally, the opportunity to enjoy a television program while eating enhanced the experience. While the location was somewhat removed from our intended destination, this was not an issue, as we prioritized having a comfortable and restful night.
Disliked: The shower was curbless, causing water to spread into the rest of the bathroom. As a result, we had to dry the floors with our personal towels and wait for them to dry before the next person could use the bathroom. Additionally, the room key lock was malfunctioning, making it a hassle to enter and exit the room.

It was ok.

Liked: Room size, location convenience
Disliked: Our stay was fine, but I’ll share a few observations with you:1. First thing I noticed, is that the Landscaping is dead and the outside of the establishment looks generally rundown. 2. I also noticed a musty odor on the first floor and the third floor as we walked down the hallways past the rooms. 3. I also heard dogs barking on the floors one, and three. There was a dog that must’ve been staying in a room near the room that we were staying in, (we were in room 308), that barked early in the morning and woke us up. 4. In addition, on the morning of the 16th around 9 AM someone attempted to use a key to come into our room. They did not knock, they did not yell out that they were entering and luckily, we had the internal lock engaged from inside the room so they were not able to fully open the door. I sprung up out of bed and ran towards the door and pushed it closed quickly and yelled out “excuse me? “ No one responded. I am assuming it was housekeeping, but they should have known that we were not checked out yet and we did not request room service. Someone could’ve been naked or in the bathroom when they entered. What the actual heck? The staff at the front desk were helpful. The rooms appeared to be clean but beyond that I can’t say much else positive.
