Very good

Great stay, nicely updated hotel.

Liked: The interior and the room were very nice and updated recently. Very nice indoor pool, and the breakfast area was also very good.
Disliked: The hotel exterior looked a bit rundown, as does the parking lot.

Lice on pillows

Liked: The only thing likeable about the property is its closeness to six flags.
Disliked: Our stay was not a good experience. When we were finally going to sleep around midnight, we unfortunately found a louse on one of the pillows which was a nightmare to say the least. The person in the front desk gave us some new pillowsheets for us to change the bedding which is not the idea of a vacation and a very small refund which is a joke because we were paying $250+ for a one night stay expecting to have a good night’s sleep on what were supposed to be clean beds, not beds with lice. We were told we were going to be called by the manager for a full refund because lice in a hotel bedroom is unacceptable, but no sign of the manager yet. The property is slowly falling apart. You can see that they only clean enough to mask some things, but that they don’t care about truly keeping the facility clean. Even the clerks desk had dirty items behind the counter (like their mouse pads). The emergency stair carpets were disgustingly dirty, so it is obvious they don’t even wash the carpets, the smell of moth balls right after the elevator opened on our floor was also very noticeable. The room “appeared” clean at first glance, but when we looked closely there were hair strands on the bathroom floor, dirt on the corners of the floor, paper wrappers left on the sides of the carpet. Clearly, not worth the money they are charging. If you wish to stay in a hotel near six flags, look elsewhere, or even 15-30 mins away from the area if other hotels seem to be sold out.

Overall it was just ok…

Liked: It had a nice pool and hot tub and the staff was friendly
Disliked: Unfortunately we didn’t get to our room until about 4:45 cause they were short staffed with housekeeping but that was ok. The thing that bothered me most is everyone else kept getting their rooms before us for some reason I’m not sure. When we go to the room it was very clean but there was a very strong odor of mildew and old food and our window was broken and the crack is repaired with scotch tape. We should have at least gotten some sort of compensation for having to wait so long and the stench of the room… the neighbors were constantly slamming doors through out the night so it was not the most relaxing but I know it’s a hotel and those things happen

Liked: I did not eat the breakfast because I did not trust the hotel staff and have my room not clean all day when I asked three times and then they bring someone from the streets to clean my room. There’s no way I was eating their food. Street housekeepers next time vacuum the floor that’s part of cleaning. first shift front desk girl try not to negotiate prices with guess knowing you all are the problem you went from 20% to 30% off until I told you no you’re gonna give me a free night
Disliked: Ask for early cleanup got back to the room. The room wasn’t cleaned up at 1 PM went back out asked the black GM lady can someone clean my room. She said you have to ask to have your room clean. I told her I did ask. She said someone was gonna come up there and clean my room. I got in my room at 8 PM. The room still wasn’t clean went downstairs asked why my room is not clean again. They said you have to ask. We don’t clean rooms every day. You have to act every day. I said I did ask two times and now you’re the third person I asked they sent someone out of uniform too fat nasty looking girls look like they got out out of the street with flip-flops on and it was not in uniform anyone can get a cart and act like their housekeeping so I did not leave my room while they clean for fear that they was gonna steal and when they knocked on the door, my daughter was scared she did not know who they was. So all day my room wasn’t clean after asking for a third time finally two ununiform girls came to the room. I believe they are the GM’s family member because they look like her. I also asked them who are they? Why are you not in uniform? They had no answer I was astounded that they would send someone up to my room with no uniform street clothes on like they just grabbed these two young girls out of the street and then my toilet was stopped up. I let front desk know she gave me a plunger when I checked out. I told her the toilet still stopped up. I’m not maintenance. I’m not plunging you all toilet. I don’t work here. She looked at me as if she was in shock. What a horrible experience they should let everyone know at the front desk if you want your room clean you have to ask every day and even if you ask every day it’s not guaranteed it’s instead of me asking three times for my room to be clean from four in the morning to 8:30 PM. My room was not clean and I asked three times and then when I go to my room, I had to get two keys they didn’t work. Street housekeepers.
