It was a nice and...

Liked: The location to my son's house, and to shopping was just right. The staff go out of their way to please. The Breakfast was a very nice and balanced menu.
Disliked: The lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter and also in the room for make-up application.

Liked: I thought the staff was very courteous and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The cleaning staff did a good job at keeping things clean. The provide breakfast was good for what it was. There was plenty of available parking.
Disliked: The light didn't work in the bathroom around the mirror so the bathroom lighting was dim. The shower had low water pressure and the tub handle was loose. There was one tile in the bathroom that stuck up in front of the toilet. There was a flickering light that was bothersome. When I talked to the desk, they offered another room but the bathroom light didn't work in that room either. Also, the carpet was torn and the floor under the torn carpet was flimsy. I chose to stay in the original room. I expressed my concerns at checkout and I believe the concerns were documented. The desk clerk was apologetic but I feel like there was a definite lack of attention to detail as far as maintenance was concerned.

For sure will not stay...

Liked: Breakfast was OK all processed foods. there was fresh fruit, fresh bread, waffles for kids, toast, peanut butter and jelly.The lobby itself was nice, but that’s not where everybody spends most of their time when they go to a motel.
Disliked: Went to the workout room had no fans no water. AC was not left On to stay cold didn’t take five minutes and you were burning up. Had to come out to cool off..Seems this was an older hotel that they remodeled they did a decent job. Who’s bright idea was it to put a heat lamp in the bathroom right beside the AC vent it defeats the AC that you have in the bathroom because you have no vent and also there are no kind of shelves in the bath /shower area to put shampoo, etc. the floors were unlevel in the room, hallway and elevators were extremely hot. Was supposed to be an extra chair in the room for sitting not the desk chair mine was missing.And we were unable to get a paper receipt to see what we were actually billed at the time of checkout something about. I’m only filling in, I don’t know how to do that. Was going to use my AARP to get a better rate, but couldn’t do that at check-in was told I could not do that and then when we checked out, nobody knew what they were doing.Sorry, but I’ve stayed in tons of motels over the years and I always thought La Quinta had better than this. That’s why I booked with La Quinta thought they were the nicer motels..
