Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Our experience was pretty good. The room was a little expensive but it is Austin and it was a weekend. I would do it again.

Disliked: The place is dirty and old. They gave me a room that smelled horribly of urine. Then they moved me, and now the hallway smells like urine and marijuana. Shirtless people walking through the halls. Everything is chipped and filthy. The bathroom doors don’t even close. The breakfast was poor—just some awful frozen biscuits. Parking is not free. The sheets and pillows were dirty and smelly, like they haven’t been washed. The TV is one of the old models. Not all the lights in the room worked. The vending machines were out of stock. A total disaster.The only somewhat good thing is that it’s close to downtown.For that price, I’ve stayed at other La Quinta locations that felt almost luxurious. This one is extremely run-down and disgusting. Very unpleasant. Not recommended for couples or families.

Liked: Breakfast was nice. It was great that we were able to walk to the Capitol so Location Location Location!!!
Disliked: bugs roaches, I paid for two rooms and got one, went to front desk and was told that I only checked in for one room when my reservation clearly was for two. I got a bit frustrated but I think it got straight.
