La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Midtown - Buckhead

Hotel needs a serious uplift as everything is old, faded and worn out. Staff was professional and courteous.

The hotel is located in a decent part of town; some traffic on the main street at rush hours, but that's to be expected. The staff was friendly and check in/out was quick. Room was clean and quiet. The business center and breakfast area could use a little work but all in all it was a good place to stay for a couple of nights.

Liked: Clean room; friendly staff; renovations seemed to be underway.
Disliked: Small breakfast and business center.

Will return!

Late Checkout

Disliked: I paid for late checkout 1:00 instead of 11:00. At 11:00 housekeeping banged on my door and woke me up. I told them I had late checkout. About 5 minutes later the front desk called and asked if I wanted late checkout. I told them it was already approved and I paid for it.

Disappointing

Liked: Free breakfast, friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The location was not good. I should've researched more. Too far out to get to a lot of places. There was a leak under the sink . Couldn't get the ac to shut off. The shower head needs to be replaced. The light in the bathroom has one switch for the fan and the light instead of two separate switches. No pool. I didn't realize it, though. I thought there was.

Exceptional

Liked: I'm awaiting the completion of my apartment home and have had to be here longer than I anticipated. I'm really happy that I chose LaQuinta Midtown it has far exceeded my expectations with courteous and helpful staff.

Liked: Breakfast was nasty. Like the hotel though. Been there plenty of times an will go back
Disliked: My sheets was dirty with hair and makeup the first night. Had to grab some from front desk,then the 2night same issue plus no clean towels an tissue paper. Had to go to front desk again.

Clean hotel, friendly staff

Disliked: I reserved the room with my cashapp debit card. When I got there I was told they do not accept those cards or my cash but if i canceled they would still charge it. I’m from out of town and had to open a new bank account in the area so I could stay there. I didn’t want to be charged for having to cancel/go somewhere else bc they wouldn’t accept my payments. I don’t understand that they accepted my card for reservations/cancellation fees but would not accept it at the front desk when it was time To check in. Other than this issue the stay was great and I will be back
