Liked: The front desk specialist Robert was very helpful and came up to help with TV and helped when dryer would not dry my clothes after spending 3 dollars drying them. This gentleman is a treasure for your business!

Old hotel at a new...

Liked: Location was midway between Austin and Brownsville. Had my first Texas shaped waffle.
Disliked: This is an old and poorly maintained hotel. Toilet lid was cracked. Every door was loose. There was an overstuffed recliner in the room and a very old desk chair all cracked and worn. We did not use either. The tub surround was amateurishly caulked at various times and using various materials. The plated metal drain was peeling. The metal towel bars and curtain holder was rusting. The window was howling until I found the broken latch and fastened it anyway. The rolling shade retractor was pulled all the way down and couldn't be retracted so had 6-8 inches extra to wave in the AC breeze. I put it back in the side guides and folded the extra to hold it from blowing. The coffee was Nescafe from a machine that dispensed various hot mixes. They had a scrambled egg tray and a scrambled egg and sausage tray.
