Bad service and lots of...

Liked: Breakfast was decent. It didn't smell too bad considering animals are allowed in all rooms.
Disliked: Staff was very unhelpful and was clearly trying to fake surprise at our issues. The bathtub was completely peeling up and she gave a "every room is booked so I can't move you" and didn't offer any other solution or compensation, and instead just kind of did a "well you probably shouldn't use the shower". The pillows on all of our beds were also these sad little throw pillows they had wrapped the pillow cases around, it looked like someone had bought they cheapest thing called a pillow on Amazon and called it good enough. I messaged for additional pillows and got no response so after a few hours I called the front desk to ask for more pillows. She said she would see what she has but we had to come down and get them. We came down and all she could offer was some mattress covers because there were apparently "out of pillows" which she again seemed to fake caring and seemed not at all surprised when I complained about the half sized pillows in our room.Everything in the room had damage from animals gnawing and scratching things.Corners of everything looked gross like dogs had peed and they didn't scrub into the corners well.Lots of random repairs all over that hadn't been finished off with paint.Room was missing pictures and had lots of general damage that needed touched up.There is also weirdly nowhere to hang the hand towel in the bathroom.

Just ok

Liked: There was a huge stain on our bedIt was on the top cover I just took it off for the night.The carpet was damp like it had probably just been cleaned but not dry all the way.The hotel is definitely seeing some age to it.There was also tape of the curtain box DEFINITELY a sign of a previous guest which I know personally is a no no.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel was very nice, it was clean and the staff was very friendly. There was free breakfast the next morning... And we didn't eat but it was not a Continental Breakfast...smile. It looked like so much more was on the breakfast line...and it smelled really good. Smile. As I was walking past the dining area, one of the staff asked if I was going to have some...Smile. And I thought that was sweet. Even though we didn't stay long we definitely enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Smile
Disliked: The price. I don't know what was taking place in Abilene but all of the hotels were elevated in price. But I've stayed in much nicer Hotels for much less.

All in all this hotel...

Liked: Good location, next to WalMart and restaurants.
Disliked: Out dated building, slow slow slow elevator, short staffed, had to wait on rooms to be cleaned. No extra bedding for sofa pullout. The swimming pool was open all night and loud just below my window.
