La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Capitol

Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Our experience was pretty good. The room was a little expensive but it is Austin and it was a weekend. I would do it again.

Disliked: It was in a terrible state. It smelled ugly, there was mold, we noticed insects in the rooms. The restroom doors were hard to open and close. There were lots of stains on the carpet and walls as well as the sheets and towels.

Disliked: During my stay, I encountered multiple issues—so much so that I wasn’t the only one complaining: three other guests were at the front desk requesting refunds and even switching hotels. My room had:1. A broken toilet2. A TV that wouldn’t lower the volume, it was loudly 3. Loud noise from the neighboring room all through the night (I called the front desk several times and nobody answered.4. No working lights in the room5. A non‑functioning hair dryer6. An air conditioner that didn’t work

Liked: Location and price is the only reason to book here.
Disliked: Its dirty, service is awful, parking is expensive, the front desk lady is rude. It is not clean, the room was a disaster, and it smelled like cigarettes.

Liked: The only positive I can say is staff was friendly, and it was downtown which was convenient
Disliked: It was extremely dirty, mold above the shower, dried bugers on the bathroom door, most of the lamps didn’t work, nor did the remote the majority of the time. They also charge for parking which I was unaware of until the day before check in.($75 for 2 days) .
