Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Our experience was pretty good. The room was a little expensive but it is Austin and it was a weekend. I would do it again.

Liked: Location was in downtown within walking distance to restaurants and bars
Disliked: No mini fridge or microwave in rooms. Entire facility looked rundown and not well cared for. The pool was filthy and there were cigarette butts and trash floating in it.

Liked: NOthing at all
Disliked: They advertise onsite parking but my vehichle was over the height limit so I was unable to park there at all. I requested a refund but was refused and had to stay at this place. Place is in disrepair and dirty. People shouting all night keeping me awake

Liked: The bed was pretty comfortable and the AC was great! The staff was nice and helpful.
Disliked: The hotel is run down, and looked dirty. There was a young cockroach in our bathroom. I tried to catch/kill it but when I got back in the bathroom he was hidden again. The shower head was not placed well for tall people, but the water pressure was good and the water got hot.

Disliked: Room wasn?t clean. Amenities were sub par. Asked for clean towels on day 3 and never got them. Air conditioner was as loud as a jet engine. Breakfast wasn?t good. Price was double what we should have paid. Absolutely awful. I will never stay at a La Quinta again.

Worst experience ever!!!!
Disliked: Nothing we paid for, expected, or was advertised was given at this location. Customer service was horrible, mainly due to under staffing and lack of communication. We were lied to a multiple occasions, made to wait for our room for over 5 hours. It's advertised check in is at 3pm, we arrived at 5:30pm, and couldn't get to our room to 10:45pm. UNBELIEVABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE. We also tried to get kitchen supplies, as it's advertised that they are available by contacting the from desk, I call at 8am, was told they wouldn't be able to get us any until 10am. By 10:30am, nothing... We went to the front desk and was told by the guy working the front desk that "the dishes are dirty, I can't leave the front desk to go get them and clean them until manager gets here". I asked when that wouldn't be and stated he thinks 11am or later. UNBELIEVABLE!!! He even had the nerve to ask us if we wanted him to just check us out of the hotel. I told him no...we want what we paid for and what Extended Stay America advertised. As you can imagine, it now 11am and we still don't have what we need and probably won't get it at all. If we had another option...we definitely would leave this place and request all funds be refunded. Other people that's staying here are experiencing the same and worse. The man next to us said his room hadn't been cleaned in a month and they never received kitchen supplies either.

Absolutely DIS-gusting! BTW, #4 Shoal...
Liked: This hotel is absolutely disgusting! We wound up leaving. The bathtub should be white but it was gray with grime. There was less than 1/4 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom with no spare. There was a huge dead cockroach in the floor. Upon entry, the room had a very fowl odor. In addition to dirt, the elevator had an old used bandaid on the floor. The furniture in the lobby is stained and gross. Staff wasn't very available. After discovering the lack of TP, I went down to the lobby to request additional. No one at the front desk. I loudly said "hello" and waited a few minutes. No one showed up. Ultimately, we both decided this La Quinta was super gross and too disgusting to stay in so we left. I regret not taking pictures so you can see for your self. Y'all might want to visit the place yourself.
Disliked: You could take the time to stock the room. You could replace the disgusting mattress and super lumpy pillows. You could use a pest control service. You could clean the property including common areas such as elevators and lobby. You could clean the exterior area as well. You are so close to the Capitol and super close to the Moody Ampitheater, you should do a complete makeover. Your location is very desirable but my goodness, I will never recommend anyone stay there. I think Wyndham / LaQuinta can and should do better.
