Very disappointing and not worth...

Liked: Not much. The room was pretty spacious, but dark and more or less windowless, since you can’t open the shutters are there are shaded screens that make it feel like a cave. Barely any light gets in, which kills the vibe for a semi-tropical getaway. The bed was fine. It’s functional.
Disliked: A lot. There is no concierge or hotel staff on site, which is not clear from the website. It’s essentially just a collection of independent apartments with no common space to gather. I came with 5 friends for a 50th birthday trip, and there was nowhere to gather other than the pool area, which had half a dozen pool chairs, half of which were broken, so we couldn’t even relax there. It was a contest each morning to see which of the 10-12 guests at the property would grab the 2 functional chairs for the day. Staff from the owner’s adjacent property said there was nothing they could do about it. In addition, there were contractors doing loud work directly outside the rooms each (weekend) day we were there, so you couldn’t even retreat to your room to relax and nap. The pool chairs were dirty (my buddy had to change his linen pants for dinner after briefly sitting in one of them. And for all of that, we were charged a daily “resort fee” on top of the exorbitant $400 a night for the rooms. Felt like a mid-scale motel with a pool to dip in. We made the trip work by essentially never being on the property, which was the opposite of what we were looking for. Key West isn’t really a beach town - it’s a place to hang out by the pool at a cute hotel. And, contrary to the “pensione” description, this place is definitely very basic and DIY. So, if you need an expensive place to just park your bags and explore Key West, go for it. If you’re looking for a place with any onsite staff or service or any kind of vibe, look elsewhere.

Liked: Clean, quiet and peaceful. The personnel were charming and cheerful in wanting to make sure we enjoyed our visit.
