Bacic hotel in heart of...

Liked: Great location on the heart of Little Italy. Very close to County/Little Italy trolley station and Santa Fe Amtrak station.
Disliked: Initial room smelled like stale cigarettes and had a very loud mini-split A/C unit. Switched rooms to another onewith A/C turned off, in August. Took a while to cook down but was quiet. Also had a weird smell. Furniture dated and room not in best shape - holes in desk chair, broken laminate on side table, hole in sheet, etc

Fabulous

Liked: Relatively small European boutique-like hotel in Little Italy… Very clean, comfortable beds, upgraded bathroom , our room had sink outside bathroom, staff was amazing, location central to restaurants, can walk to harbor or easy Uber . We were very familiar to area and visiting our favorite part of San Diego

La Pensione Hotel – Little...

Liked: Love, love, love the location! If you want to be right in the heart of San Diego’s Little Italy with amazing restaurants just steps away, this is your spot. The staff was so friendly and made everything easy; they even checked our bags for us while we waited for our room so we could hit the town.The hotel itself is inexpensive, super clean, and has everything you need for a comfy stay. The bed was cozy, the AC was blissful (thank you to San Diego sunshine!), and it all just felt easy. Perfect place to stay if you want to eat your way through Little Italy without breaking the bank.Would absolutely stay again!
