Paying for Location/Charm, Not Room

Liked: Excellent location across from plaza so easy to walk around downtown. Great lobby, restaurant, and bar. Small bakery attached to building with good coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel embodies historic Santa Fe charm.
Disliked: Rooms are minimalist. No frills and rather cramped. Small bathroom. All part of the historic charm I suppose but we expected a few more updates and creature comforts at this price point.

I can't wait to get...

Liked: the room was lovely, the location unbeatable, and the people magnificent. The restaurant inside the hotel is utterly gorgeous! My only regret is that I didn't find out about the books featuring the history of the hotel until I was getting ready to leave, so I didn't get a chance to pick one up!
Disliked: Ihave no complaints about this hotel at all. The water got hot quickly, making shorter showers possible, the people were all absolutely lovely, the artwork stunning, the location perfect. . .truly just a wonderful place!
