Superb
Liked: What a beautiful little Inn along the NC500 with a great history! We stayed in the Deluxe King room with a balcony that had a lovely view. The bed was comfortable, and the shower glorious, with plenty of hot water and great pressure. Dinner was AMAZING with delicious local seafood. The breakfast that came with our stay was equally wonderful. We appreciated the honor bar was filled with non-alcoholic items as well.
Disliked: We received a call that our room would be unavailable due to a leak, and we would need to move. We were disappointed, but resigned. (Happily, when we arrived, though, the room was in fact available which was a lovely surprise.) Also, we let the property know that we were celebrating a "special birthday" and would have liked them to save us a table with a view, but were told they didn't "reserve" tables.

Scenery was gorgeous with Deer...
Liked: The location was stunning as were the views from the dining area and bar . The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food that we had was lovely.
Disliked: We were in room 2 it was small and cramped. Our view from the window was a wall, no where to hang your clothes only a pointless writing desk with 3 draws. The bathroom was not good with black mould on the wall and around the toilet. There was a bath with a shower head with no wall fixing and a tiny shower screen. This meant you couldn’t stand safely while holding the shower head and wash without flooding the bathroom, very poor. The parking is limited.

Liked: Gorgeous location, breakfast was great.
Disliked: Food menu was little bit restricted. Make sure to book if you want dinner, people were being turned away who hadn't.

Poor
Liked: Great location
Disliked: Food;It was ‘average’. Service was good but food was boring and bland. Incredibly over priced for what it was. We had mussel's, tempura prawns, fish/chips and a large mussels. Didn’t waste time with dessert.Certainly would not recommend or eat there again.Rooms;Tired. Plenty of scuffs on walls/paintwork etc.Towels smelt funky and haven’t shaken the smell for most of the day.Shower dribbled inconsistent heat. Good luck if you are female with long hair.General dust/dirt.Hotel;Generally tired. It looks as though it has been left without regular maintenance or repairs.Terrace to the bar has broken umbrellas and 3 broken glass balustrade screens. Uneven and rotting decking. Dirty windows. Paint flaking from barge boards.Walkway ramp is littered with plant pots restricting access. Broken plant pots removed but a pile of soil with growth left on walkway.Never would I spend £280 on a room and £144 on a meal if I knew what I was in for.Central London can offer you more for less money.
