Don't judge a book by...

Liked: I booked with trepidation. The photos on Booking.com made it look like a step up from a youth hostel but, at the time, it was the only hotel in the vicinity with availability. Sure enough, when we turned up it looked as if it had seen better days. The rooms were clean and warm, everything worked as it should, the staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent. Surprisingly, they had the best vegan menu we'd come across on our trip.
Disliked: The room decor needed some attention - but that's didn't affect the quality of our sleep, the food or the service.

Very VERY pricey for what...

Liked: The bar and restaurant are very nice. With few places open nearby, it was great to have a full dinner menu option. No space in restaurant but they were able to take us in the bar. Staff friendly.
Disliked: The rooms are a bit tired and basic and the beds aren’t very comfortable. Their prices are very expensive and I’d expect a far better sleep for this amount of money.

Liked: Central location on Kyle’s main street. A well presented ground floor room with a full-sized bathroom. Helpful staff on the front desk and a good base to explore the area.
Disliked: Quite a lot of corridor noise from passing guests and a slamming fire-door. Hotel dining room is satisfactory, however there are not a lot of alternatives in the area.

Disliked: Water pressure, it was hard to take a shower, and had to try three times to flash the toilet

Liked: Room was fine for a single room but there were no radio channels on the T.V.
Disliked: No radio channels on T.V.Waitress told me to wait in reception as there were no tables free at the time for breakfast, but someone else walked in and just sat at a table.No eggs other than scrambled for breakfast.
