Wonderful stay in excellent location...

Liked: love the outdoor pool and hot tubs. great location within walking distance to the town centre. great park across the road. friendly staff. long reception hours are very useful.
Disliked: my room was right next to the 2 hot tubs and i could clearly hear people talking in there even with all windows shut. pillows were a bit hard.

Liked: Was nice of reception to wait up until we arrived to see us in. Bed was comfy. Mineral pools were excellent and was one of the deciding factors in choosing Kowhai Motel.
Disliked: I had a bag of bagels for Sunday breakfast but there was no sharp knife available to split my bagels open. Whole place looks bit run down and tired. Room was tidy. All in all decent value for money paid.
