Koruna Hotel

Liked: Location, location, location. It's in a great place from which to explore Prague. Plenty of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants minutes away. The breakfast served at the Motif restaurant/cafe was very good and the host was very friendly and welcoming.
Disliked: The hotel is dated, the room in which I stayed was in average condition. Hard mattress, floor boards which were not flat to the floor and low water pressure. Also night time noise is amplified by the surrounding buildings. I appreciate this is due to its location and close proximity to many bars and pubs. The noise wasn't a big issue for me but if you are a light sleeper and have the windows open then you will struggle.

Great staff, but room/bathroom in...

Liked: The staff were friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to leave milk in the staff fridge and they allowed us to leave our luggage behind reception when we checked out (due to a late flight). The baby travel cot was in very good condition. The location was very convenient and within walking distance from Charles Bridge and the Old Town.
Disliked: The room is dated and needs a proper refurb. The bathroom is dingy and the toilet is oddly located. There was no standing fan and (due to the heatwave) we had to leave the windows open at night. The noise of revellers on the street outside in the evening/at night woke us up. A standing fan would have improved the situation. The lift is very small and getting a baby buggy and one person in it was a tight squeeze - but we managed.

Liked: Location is fantastic and the hotel looks like it's had a lot of renovation work done quite recently. For a cheap one night stay right in the centre of the city this place is fantastic. And the couple of staff members we spoke to were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Clean hotel in a quiet...

Liked: The hotel is in a relatively quiet location about 20 minutes walk from the old town. The metro station is about 5 minutes away. The Room was clean Staff were pleasant. There was a small gift in the room on arrival which was a nice touch.
Disliked: While there was a fan in the room it would not cope if it was very warm weather. Could really do with air-conditioning. There isn't a 24 hour concierge from Monday- Thursday so there is no one in the middle of the night to ask returning guests to stop shouting and keep the noise down.
