Knights Inn North Bay, North Bay

Expected 2-3 star experience for...

Liked: Staff were eager to accommodate. Left my phone outside on window ledge night of check inn, Was obv gone by morning.(not one of my smoother moments!) Motel employees went above and beyond next AM reviewing camera footage to get it back for me! Was almost 100 it was gone after being left overnight in the downtown area so needless to say I was pretty happy. Having security on site was definitely reassuring.
Disliked: So, likely just an isolated incident of oversight on the part of cleaning staff… As rest of room was in fact reasonably clean. But finding 3 pairs of used lingerie belonging to god knows who! On the floor of a room you’re paying for was a little disheartening to say the least. It wasn't exactly left in the most obvious of places so I could see how it might of got missed but I was still a little let down by it. Even though the front desk was apologetic, Im hopping they’re a bit more vigilant in the future. Overall would still consider rebooking.

Liked: It was a place to sleep
Disliked: Upon arrival room looked okay. When we finished our night at work went to have a shower only 1 towel for 2 people shower was covered in mold and shower head was broken. Got out of the shower and went to use the only bath towel in the room and it was filthy and looked like someone had wiped their poopy bum on it so dried off with a hand towel. After we woke up told the staff and they did give us new towels but no apology for how the room was. Then as we were laying in bed watching tv looked up and there was a blood splatter on the ceiling. Needless to say with this stay we should have received our money back as it was the worst hotel stay I had had in a very long time.

Disliked: No towels in room. When asked staff at front desk they stated only two towels per room provided. Not acceptable there were four people in the room. Ice machine also broken.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and attendant, cute cat in the lobby, thank you for returning the clothes I left behind.
Disliked: The room was a bit cold so the heater may have to be replaced.

Liked: Very central in North Bay and well suited for most downtown activities (cafes, pubs, music, parades, etc.)
Disliked: The room was in poor condition faucet all but falling off of the sink, mildew and grime all over the bathroom, furniture off level so that drawers would open at random. The room just felt unsafe.
