Passable

Disliked: The gentleman charged is $160 + $100 deposit for a one bed shower only room. We arrived at 5am as the motel we originally booked Thriftlodge next door was having system issues and cancelled our reservation. We asked for late checkout and paid for it yet at 11:00 PM the owner was pounding at the door waking us up. There were makeup stains on the pillowcase and the draft in the room was unbearably cold.

Pleasantly surprised

Liked: I rarely, if ever, write reviews, but I was so impressed with the Knights Inn I had to take this opportunity and write one. I was in Kingston on business when my scheduled half-day trip suddenly became an overnight trip and I found myself in need of lodging for the night. Due to the late hour, sheer exhaustion, the fact that my room time would be minimal, I went for economy and booked the cheapest room available. The hotel was a short drive from the downtown area, but I was able to locate it easily. When I pulled into the parking area and immediately noticed the hotel was quite small. In my experience, it isn?t uncommon for smaller hotels to not have staff on-site late at night. So, I started to get a bit annoyed thinking I would have to wait for staff to arrive at the hotel to check me into my room. But my annoyance quickly faded when I saw that the office was open and a staff member was there to greet me. After a quick check-in, I was escorted to my room, given a brief tutorial of the rooms features, asked if the room was suitable, and then I was told if I needed any assistance what-so-ever at any time to pick up the room phone and dial zero and help would be on its way. Now that?s what I call excellent customer service! I must also mention that not only was the service spectacular, but the room was also spectacular! Supreme comfort would be a good way to describe it. From the luxurious freestanding pedestal bathtub to the oversized plumb queen bed, I was in comfort heaven for the night! I travel to Kingston quite regularly on business (a beautiful little city by the way) and the Knights Inn is definitely where I will be staying from now on! Do yourself a favour if you haven't already and give the Knights Inn a try.

Great value! Great location! Great...

Liked: Very nice motel. Great location. On bus route to downtown. Within walking distance to shopping, food, gas, restaurants, entertainment, etc,. Very large room, but still cozy. Equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave, which was great because we saved money on food as we were able to walk to the grocery store and buy food that we could keep in the room. Everything was clean and fresh and had fresh linen. The wife and I had a great night?s sleep in the super huge, and very comfortable Queen size bed. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy, and the staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The price was already right, and even better when you consider what we got. Definitely a great value. We?ll be back in town next week and we'll be staying here again. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
Disliked: There wasn't anything we didn't like.

A terrible place to stay....

Disliked: There was NO BREAKFAST. While the sheets were clean, the carpet are worn and filthy. There was no fan and the A/C was old and very noisy. I would never recommend this place. If you use drugs or hookers it ok if that's how you fly.

Our stay was fantastic! The...

Liked: We had a great stay at this motel. The room was newly renovated, quite large, which was nice, nicely decorated, and very clean. Huge bed, extremely comfy, and made with fresh, crisp linen. My husband and I both had a great night?s sleep. Gorgeous bathroom, plenty of soft, plush towels. Free internet, WiFi, and coffee in the morning. The parking was perfect because we were able to park right outside of our room. The staff was friendly, caring, and accommodating, and went above and beyond the call of duty. We were allowed a late checkout with no hesitation and no extra charge. Great location, easy to find. The motel backs onto Strathcona Park, a suburban, upper-scale neighbourhood, while the front of the motel faces the city's center where you can find dining, shopping, pubs, and other amenities and essentials, such as; fuel, car repair, banks, etc. all within walking distance. There?s a bus stop directly in front of the motel, convenient for getting around the city. This motel exceeded our expectations, we will be staying here again, and we highly recommend them!
Disliked: There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Won't be back

Liked: No breakfast which didn't bother us as we went with other family to eat out.Good size room was only thing I did like
Disliked: Other than our room size this place was a dive. Bad neighbourhood. Sketchy people hanging around. Cops dropped someone off in parking lot & told us "You should be safe for 1 night, find somewhere else if you need to stay longer."
