The Spotlight on Knights Inn College Station

Affordable Comfort Just Steps from Texas A&M

Modern convenience meets budget-friendly comfort at Knights Inn College Station, located right off Route 6 and just a 5-minute walk from Texas A&M University. With clean, simple rooms, free WiFi, and a laid-back atmosphere, this is an ideal crash pad for music fans who plan to spend more time at the show than in their hotel room.
Each room comes equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and cable TV, giving you everything you need for a short stay. There's also an outdoor pool for a refreshing dip and laundry facilities if you're on a longer tour stop.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans love the easy access to venues around the Texas A&M campus, including Reed Arena which is just a 10-minute drive away. If you're catching a late show, the area offers reliable rideshare coverage and the check-in at 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM gives you time to recover after a night out. With its quiet, no-frills vibe, the hotel makes for a restful spot to recharge.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for an affordable base
  • Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list band
  • Couples planning a weekend near campus
  • Fans who want a peaceful post-concert sleep
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who care more about the gig than the thread count

Food and Drink Options

While there's no on-site restaurant, each room has a microwave and fridge for late-night leftovers or quick bites. You're also within walking distance of several casual eateries and fast food spots. Morning-after breakfast options are close by, perfect for those slow starts after a high-energy show.

Nightlife Options

If you're looking to keep the night going, you're just minutes from bars and local hangouts in the College Station area. While the hotel itself is quiet, the surrounding neighborhood offers options for a nightcap or post-show celebration.

What People Say

Guests appreciate the central location, affordable rates, and clean, basic rooms. Many highlight the friendly front desk staff and how convenient it is for visiting Texas A&M or attending events nearby. The value for money is a recurring theme in reviews.

Areas for Improvement

While the hotel delivers on price and location, some guests note that the decor is dated and the amenities are minimal. Rooms might feel a bit basic for those expecting luxury—but for concert-goers, it’s more than enough.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a show near Texas A&M and just need a clean, affordable place to crash, Knights Inn College Station hits all the right notes.

Bad

Disliked: It was more of a drug hotel, either their doing drugs or selling them there. This is not family friendly at all. My towels were dirty, no coffee pot in the room. The man painting the rails was on drugs and the woman that was with him couldn’t stop moving like she was tweaked out on meth. I will sleep in my car before I ever rent a hotel room from here. When we got done with the event we had to come to Texas for i got a couple hours of sleep and left. Didn’t even stay till check out. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. You couldn’t tell the guest from the workers at this place.

Expensive, dirty and client mistreatment

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: They did not honor the reservation made through Booking.I was made to wait an hour and a half at 1:00 a.m., and I barely slept. For the price, the place was dirty, poorly maintained, and everything was old.The next day, they didn’t want to return my deposit. On my first call to Booking, they hung up on me.

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Very poor

Liked: That it was close to A&M - we were attending family weekend, needed something close to the campus
Disliked: That the rate tripled for this A&M event - normal rate $65 - I paid $196. Front desk was not friendly, room was clean but horrible smell coming from AC like freon and mold - no sleep at all. Had microwave and fridge but neither were plugged in and very large piece of furniture had to be moved to plug it in. We will not ever stay here again - rate gouging 2 star hotel - no thank you- College Station needs to do better with all of these hotels that do this.
