It was a disappointment. Bed...

Liked: The location was good which is in the downtown area very close to restaurants,
Disliked: Bed bugs in the two queen beds inside the room. We arrived at night already and we're all very tired to inspect the bed and other components of the room. On the next morning, we saw 2 bed bugs crawling on one of the queen beds and we killed them both. A few minutes later, we checked the other one and there was another bed bug which we happen to take a video but we're unable to upload it here so we uploaded screenshots of it. When we checked out at 8am, the receptions desk was closed and when we ring the door bell, a man, who woke up from sleep, slightly opened the class window to receive the key/access card of the room and immediately closed it. There was no chance to report the incident. We reported it to Booking.com customer support chatbox 12hrs later but until now there's no response. This is just a disappointing experience from the property and with Booking.com in general. When this was booked hours before check-in, there's not much good expectations as this was rushed and all we wanted was a good night sleep. Yes, we got a good sleep but upon waking up with bed bugs all over the 2 beds is not acceptable at all. What if we brought these pests into our houses?

Cheap hotel is cheap for...

Liked: It was close to Helen, Georgia, and a reasonable pro price compared to other local hotels.
Disliked: We plan this trip to Oktoberfest to have a little fun and we were only going to use the hotel room for sleeping. We checked in before 10 PM because that’s what the rules specified and then continued on with our night in Helen Georgia. We came home and went into the hotel room around 2 AM, and it was clear that the hotel room had not been cleaned between us and the last guests. Trying to ignore that we got ready for bed and noticed all the bugs crawling around the floor. There were dirty towels, dirty sheets, and leftover items from the last people. The sweat stains on the bed covers and all the alive and dead bugs were enough for us to sleep in our car. We went to the hotel staff the next day who told us that he would not be able to assist us since it was the morning after and we should’ve come to get assistance at 3 AM in the morning if we wanted help. (I had no idea anyone would be available at 3AM in the morning in this small town.) When we try to explain our situation, he told us to “be quiet” and said that we wouldn’t get any kind of refund if we didn’t “shut up” and leave. He was extremely rude and aggressive, and refused to tell us his name until we forcefully asked multiple times. I took a picture of him as well just in case. Felt very seedy and unsafe. Would never recommend anyone stay here, we chose to sleep in our car instead which shows you just how gross it was.

Disliked: It was stanking of cigarette smoke and just looked nasty and I didn’t stay in the room I checked in and seen the room and left I couldn’t stay there with my kids
