Kinzie Hotel

Clean and quiet. Very nice!

Pretty cool hotel. Beware the drinks and food stashed in your room ($$$$), it looks very delicious at 3am after a show. Bathroom was great. The added sewing kit was particularly useful for me. The doorman was a little rude to me when a porter was helping me make a phone call (I'm deaf). That was my only complaint.

Liked: Literally around the corner from House of Blues. Could safely walk to and from concert venue in the cold weather.
Disliked: Who are all of the guys standing around in suits? Porters? It was kind of weird. It had a mob feel in a way.

Liked: The location was very central and walkable. They hotel offered a complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour which was nice.
Disliked: The only thing that was not pleasant was the area they served the continental breakfast. It was a small room and was very crowded each morning.

Liked: Price, location, clean facility inside and out. Staff friendly and courteous. The stay included breakfast, and they offered complimentary happy hour 5-7pm beer and wine. I would definitely stay here again. There's a grocery store, a variety of restaurants and bars and club nearby, including the Riverwalk. Everything is walking distance and Uber/Lyft picks you up/drops you off right out front - very convenient. They also have an ATM in their lobby, and offer complimentary bottled water.
Disliked: I wish they had a pool and wish rooms had a microwave. However, they do have a microwave on the 6th floor for use.

Liked: Kinzie Hotel – Downtown ChicagoMy stay at the Kinzie Hotel was absolutely awesome. The nightly happy hour from 5 to 7 is such a cool touch — not something you find at most downtown hotels. And yes, they even serve breakfast every morning, which is a huge plus.The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of everything. The staff was outstanding, and I have to give a special shout-out to housekeeping — seriously, some of the most pleasant, happy people you’ll ever meet.The rooms were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I’ll definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend — way to go, Kinzie!

Liked: The location was fabulous and it felt spacious, clean, safe and very friendly! The staff were really smiley and helpful. Would like to flag up Deandre as being particularly lovely. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks and complimentary breakfast. This gave us a chance to meet and mix with other guests. Would not hesitate in recommending and would definitely stay again.
