With family rooms, a garden, and a shared lounge, it's a great spot to unwind before or after a show.

Why Concert-goers love it

While not in the heart of a major city, Kintail Lodge Hotel is well-positioned for travelers attending concerts in the Highlands or at nearby heritage venues like Eilean Donan Castle, just 6.6 miles away. After a night of music, guests appreciate the peaceful setting—ideal for a quiet recovery. With check-in from 16:00 and check-out at 10:30, the schedule is fairly standard, but the relaxed vibe makes for a gentle start to your day.

Food and Drink Options

The hotel has its own restaurant and bar on-site, serving up hearty Scottish fare—perfect after a night out. Whether you're starting slow after a late night or fueling up for a day of exploring, the food options have you covered.

Nightlife Options

Though nightlife is low-key in this part of the Highlands, the hotel bar offers a cozy spot to enjoy a local whisky or a pint with friends. For more action, guests often head into Kyle of Lochalsh or nearby towns—but many are content to relax by the fire after a concert.

What People Say

Travelers love the stunning views, especially from sea-facing rooms, and praise the warm hospitality of the staff. Many highlight the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the quality of the food. The peaceful atmosphere and scenic surrounds are a recurring theme in positive reviews.

Areas for Improvement

Because of its rural location, some guests mention the limited public transport options, so having a car is recommended. The check-out time of 10:30 may feel a bit early after a late night, but the friendly staff help make departure smooth.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking to pair a concert experience with the natural beauty and calm of the Highlands, Kintail Lodge Hotel offers a scenic and soothing escape that hits the right note.

Beautiful room.

Liked: The crockery needs changing. Saucers too big or table too small. Breakfast served on a plate slightly larger than the saucer. Cold coffee. Had to wait 10 mins for clean bowels for cereal as in the dishwasher. Breakfast tasty although choice not extensive.
Disliked: Dinner service finished too early and not an option for guests arriving after 8pm.

Lovely atmospheric lodge with great...

Liked: The hotel is formally a shooting lodge on the shore of Loch Duich, so right on the Kyle of Lochalsh road and very easy to find. Large car park. Great pub food in the restaurant/bar. Super friendly staff (who were under pressure as 24 guests had arrived without a booking to eat!) who were very helpful and efficient. Lady owner/manager was friendly and chatty. We talked about the cute feral goats that roam the area. There’s a nice walk close to the loch from the car park, no roads involved so safe. We had a view of the loch which was nice and unexpected. Room had kettle and tea/coffee facilities. There’s a lovely lounge to sit in at the other end of the building after dinner with views of the loch and hotel garden. Would stay again, very good.
Disliked: Only gripe was in this hot weather there was a super cosy duvet on the bed, however it was so warm in the night, and no sheet was provided, that we had to strip the duvet out of its cover in the middle of the night and just use the duvet cover on top of us! So a flat sheet on the bed in warmer weather might be sensible xx

Liked: Staff very obliging. Comfortable room. Dog friendly & accessible dog walk close by.
Disliked: Wonderful location but this was the priciest of the four hotels we booked on our journey up from Cornwall.

Wonderful stay at a friendly...

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Also the vibe of the bar at night was excellent - it is great that locals come in to drink at the bar and have dinner at the restaurant. It made the environment a fun and happening place to be in.The staff were excellent. Glen, the manager, Douggie, the chef, went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The chef's Cullen Skink recipe was excellent. The location was ideal, and the immediate environment next to Loch Duich provided stunning scenery.
Disliked: The day was particularly hot and this was a top floor room with the sun pouring in (which would normally be wonderful) that had no air conditioning and no fan.
