Liked: Our 2nd visit here & again we had a lovely welcome. The staff were friendly and polite. It’s an absolutely beautiful property with views across to the Eildons. Breakfast came out quickly and cooked to perfection.
Disliked: I was really disappointed with our room this time & it was just not worth the money. It was a very small, dull looking room and although clean, it looked shabby. A mug had a large chip out the side that surely must have been noticed. The tv would only turn on by switching it off and on again at the plug and then every program became so pixelated it was unwatchable.

We were cycling from Newcastle...

Liked: We loved the look of the place, the grand staircase, the glasshouse and the spacious bedroom.
Disliked: Dinner was fairly average

Liked: Excellent stay, friendly professional staff, they allowed me to book in early prior to the normal check in time as I had a pre-booked meeting & was unable to return until approx 11 pm, took care of my luggage & gave me the key to the room I would be staying in, the breakfast as usual was fantastic. Thank You
