It provided what we needed...

Liked: The location is great, except for the parking which could be better. I paid the extra $15 a night for allocated parking, which was fine but I wouldn’t have liked to try and get a park without it.We got breakfast included in our room rate. There was toast, bagels, cereal, fruits, baked beans, hash browns, eggs and bacon. As well as coffee and juice. We found this adequate and enjoyable as part of our room rate, but I wouldn’t have wanted to pay the $30 per head for it.The room was clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: There’s no hairdryer in the room, the shower curtain was basically useless at stopping the bathroom from becoming a swimming pool. One of the chairs in our room was broken. The rooms don’t have a lot of sound proofing, which led to a neighbouring room banging on our wall at 5:30pm to be quiet. I had two teenage boys with me who were having a laugh at the time and I didn’t think 5:30 was late at night! It’s getting pretty dated, but it’s a 3 star hotel and it was really affordable so you get what you pay for.I’d have liked a restaurant to be open on site, I know there’s a lot of places available close by, but a restaurant would have been good. The breakfast restaurant is pretty small and sometimes people couldn’t get a table.

The staff are really pleasant,...

Liked: Central to whole downtown area , clean, well priced and good value form money.
Disliked: It was fine, but the hotel seems to have restricted to TV volume to only go to 60% , which is probably to spare the other hotel guests from inconsiderate neighbors blaring TVs. However it was set a little too low in volume for folks like myself who are a little hard of hearing. My other slight annoyance is the foyer vending machine is a mess, because it is missing product numbers and the numbers that are visible are totally out of sequence, so it’s a bit of a lotto as to what you’ll get if you select a number. I don’t blame the hotel here, it’s the slacker vending company who’s at fault.

No parking, no food, dim...

Liked: The wifi was really good for work
Disliked: When booking it confirmed i'd have a carpark but when i arrived i was told it was first in first served. I did manage to get one but the carparks behind the hotel are horrible to use in a larger vehicle. The restaurant was closed - would have been good to have known this prior so I could make arrangements for dinner. The was no lights in my room except lamps?? Made for poor lighting for working, The table and chairs in my room to work on were placed so i had to squeeze past the table and the bed to sit down under the lamp so I could see. There was no where to move them to make this easier as there was another big chair in the way. Too much furniture in the room & not enough lighting and only 1 power point for charging phone/laptop etc that was not close to the table for working on. Everything here just felt difficult.
