Enjoyed our stay and would stay again, but would request that our room is not downstairs in the basement

Liked: Friendly staff; good breakfast; nice, clean room.
Disliked: Someone, possibly a hotel guest, opened a fire exit door at 6a.m. which set an alarm off right outside our room. Our room was in the basement so we didn't have a good view and the room was overlooked from the street above.

Liked: Just friendly staff..
Disliked: I paid £194 for a basic room, with breakfast. The bathroom was very dated, with holes in the skirting around the bath. The breakfast consisted of 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, dried up mushrooms, eggs, and beans. Of course you had cereal & toast. But I expected more for my £194 per night!!!! Very disappointed. We arrived at 5pm but had to be out by 11am next morning. I've stayed in better place's for less.

Disliked: Very little amenities (e.g. no soap, no glasses for toothbrushes, etc) and poor quality room. Staff was polite but super rushed.
